The Minnesota Timberwolves big man Rudy Gobert won his fourth Defensive Player of the Year award this season.

Rudy Gobert was helpless against the Joker, as the MVP made eight of his nine shots, with Gobert being the primary defender. Jokic dropped his playoff season high of 40 points with an incredible 68.2 field goal percentage, the best of this series. The star was also 8-9 from the free-throw line and made two three-pointers in three attempts. Jokic ended up with 13 assists, seven rebounds, and two steals.

Gobert’s poor defensive outing cost the Minnesota Timberwolves the game, as the team has now lost three consecutive games. The Nuggets took a 3-2 lead after losing the first two games. 

As Minnesota is known as one of the best defensive groups, the team needs to step up and perform better on the opposite side of the court to win the next game.
