NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Veteran agent Gerry Gerrard has shuttered his New York-based electronic booking agency Vital Talent, and plans to return to his former company Chaotica where he will focus on management and promotion.

A significant number of the artists on Vital Talent's roster will make the jump to the William Morris Agency's new electronic division, William Morris Electronic (WME), including The Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy and Sandra Collins. The full disposition of Vital's roster and their other agents was not available at press time.

WME has only been in existence since August when legendary DJ & producer Pete Tong and former Division One founder Joel Zimmerman came aboard to collaborate with WMA veterans Sam Kirby, Marc Geiger and David Levy. Since their start, the division has assembled an impressive roster that already included some of the top names in the genre such as Goldfrapp, Paul Oakenfold, Paul van Dyk and Thievery Corporation and will only be strengthened by the addition of the Vital's artists.

Brit-born Gerrard was an early proponent of electronic music and was instrumental in the careers of a number of influential artists in the genre such as Nine Inch Nails, The Chems and The Prodigy.

"I am looking forward to working with Sam Kirby and the William Morris team to take electronic music into the mainstream where it belongs." Gerrard said in a statement. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
