Patch 14.16 is coming soon, with more changes to LoL.
Last patch for League of Legends was the one with a bunch of champion adjustments and minor changes to steer them in the right direction. Many of these changes are already showing signs of improvement. However, when one thing is patched up, some other problems pop up, or the changes themselves become problematic.
Thus, Patch 14.16 is going to address some of those problems and other things that Riot has deemed problematic.

Release Date
League of Legends Patch 14.16 is expected to be released on Wednesday, August 14, 2024.
LoL Patch 14.16 release time and server maintenance:
- NA: 3:00 AM PT
- EUW: 5:00 UK time
- EUNE: 3:00 CET
Champions Buffs
Contrary to the last patch, Riot is rolling out a bunch of buffs this time around. According to Riot Phreak, many of the buffs are for Solo Queue. Rest are because they are not in that great state. Phreak also said that if some of these champions make it to Pro Play, then they are fine with it.
Azir
These are some sustain buffs for Azir as Riot is trying to shore up his laning. The changes are strictly from Solo Queue, but this could make him more viable for Pro.
- Base Stats:
- Health Regeneration: 3.5 Health per 5 seconds >>> 5 Health per 5 seconds.
- Armor: 22 >>> 25.
Katarina
The biggest buff this patch is to Katarina, as her damage numbers on multiple abilities are getting buffed.
- Q – Bouncing Blade:
- Damage: 80/110/140/170/200 (+ 35% AP) >>> 80/120/160/200/240 (+ 45% AP).
- E – Shunpo:
- Damage: 20/35/50/65/80 (+ 40% AD)(+ 25% AP) >>> 20/30/40/50/60 (+ 40% AD)(+ 25% AP).
- R – Death Lotus:
- On-Hit Effectiveness: 30/35/40% >>> 25/30/35%.
Orianna
Just a small AP Ratio buff for Command: Attack.
- Q – Command: Attack –
- Damage: 60/90/120/150/180 (+ 50% AP) >>> 60/90/120/150/180 (+ 55% AP).
Skarner
Base stats are being buffed for Skarner for different attributes as well as his Q.
- Base Stats:
- Health: 610 >>> 630.
- Attack Damage: 60 >>> 63.
- Q – Shattered Earth/Upheaval:
- AD Ratio: 60% >>> 80%.
Syndra
Riot is buffing damage for Syndra’s R.
- R – Unleashed Power:
- Damage per Dark Sphere: 90/130/170 (+ 17% AP) >>> 100/140/180 (+ 17% AP).
Sylas
Multiple things are being buffed for Sylas, including increased Health and damage to different abilities.
- Base Stats:
- Health: 575 >>> 600.
- Passive – Petricite Burst:
- AP Ratio for Damage on Primary Target: 25% >>> 30%.
- W – Kingslayer:
- Damage: 65/100/135/170/205 (+ 70% AP) >>> 75/110/145/180/215 (+ 70% AP).
Vi
Riot is giving a small damage buff to Vi.
- Q – Vault Breaker:
- Maximum Damage: 90/140/190/240/290 (+ 160% Bonus AD) >>> 100/150/200/250/300 (+ 160% Bonus AD).
Wukong
Some utility and sustain changes are being rolled out for Wukong.
- Passive – Stone Skin:
- Armor: 5 – 9 (based on level) >>> 6 – 10 (based on level).
- E – Nimbus Strike:
- Bonus Attack Speed: 35/40/45/50/55% >>> 40/45/50/55/60%.
Champions Nerfs
Only one Nerf is coming in Patch 14.16, as Corki is the recipient.
Corki
Ever since the massive Corki changes, he has been annoying on the Rift. Thus, Riot has been giving him more and more nerfs, and we are getting another bunch of them.
- Q – Phosphorus Bomb:
- Mana Cost: 60/65/70/75/80 >>> 80.
- Cooldown: 8/7.5/7/6.5/6 seconds >>> 9/8.5/8/7.5/7 seconds.
Champions Adjustments
Three champions are getting adjustments as Riot is going big for the Senna changes. Meanwhile, Lucian and Qiyana are also getting some tune-ups.
Lucian
Riot is putting in some Lucian changes to target his productivity at the highest levels of play.
- Passive – Lightslinger:
- Damage: 15 (+ 15% AD) >>> 15 (+ 20% AD).
- Q – Piercing Light:
- Damage: 95/125/155/185/215 (+ 60/75/90/105/120% Bonus AD) >>> 85/115/145/175/205 (+ 60/75/90/105/120% Bonus AD).
Qiyana
- Base Stats:
- Armor: 28 >>> 31.
- Q – Edge of Ixtal:
- Damage: 50/85/120/155/190 (+ 75% Bonus AD) >>> 60/90/120/150/180 (+ 75% Bonus AD).
- W – Terrashape:
- Bonus Damage: 8/22/36/50/64 (+ 10% Bonus AD)(+ 45% AP) >>> 8/16/24/32/40 (+ 10% Bonus AD)(+ 45% AP).
- R – Supreme Display of Talent:
- Damage: 100/200/300 (+ 170% Bonus AD)(+ 10% of target’s Maximum Health) >>> 100/200/300 (+ 125% Bonus AD)(+ 10% of target’s Maximum Health).
Senna
There are so many changes coming to Senna. Riot is finally making a lot of changes to make her inneffective as a full ADC without playing the role to her fullest. Here are all of them.
- Base Stats:
- Attack Speed Growth: 4% per level >>> 2% per level.
- Passive – Absolution:
- Critical Strike at 20 Mist Stacks: 10% >>> 8%.
- Q – Piercing Darkness:
- Healing: 40/50/60/70/80 (+ 30% Bonus AD)(+ 40% AP)(+ 160% Lethality) >>> 40/60/80/100/120 (+ 40% Bonus AD)(+ 80% AP).
- Slow Ratio: 10% per 100 Bonus AD (+ 6% per 100 AP) >>> 15% per 100 Bonus AD (+ 10% per 100 AP).
- W – Last Embrace:
- Root Duration: 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 seconds >>> 1.25/1.5/1.75/2/2.25 seconds.
- R – Dawning Shadow:
- Shield Strength: 100/150/200 (+ 40% AP)(+ 120% of Mist Collected) >>> 120/160/200 (+ 70% AP)(+ 150% of Mist Collected).
System Buffs
Only one QoL change is coming in terms of Buffs for Black Cleaver.
Black Cleaver
This decreases the amount of time between gaining stacks to almost negligible.
- No longer requires 0.01 seconds between stacks.
System Nerfs
Two nerfs are coming, both for items.
Blade of the Ruined King
The item is too strong so Riot is reducing the AD and Attack Speed for the item while Melee On-Hit Damage is increasing.
- Attack Damage: 55 >>> 50.
- Attack Speed: 30% >>> 25%.
- Unique Passive – Mist’s Edge:
- Melee On-Hit Damage: 9% >>> 10%.
Doran’s Blade
Too much value is being given by Doran’s Blade as a starting item. Thus there are some nerfs coming for the item.
- Health: 100 >>> 80.
- Life Steal: 3.5% >>> 3%.
System Adjustments
Two Systems are being changed as Death Timers are increasing early on while Death Homeguard is getting some interesting adjustments.
Death Timers
Riot is making huge changes to the Death Timer, particularly in the early game. This should slow the pace of the game down while encouraging players to play more safe in lane.
- Level 1 Death Timer: 6 seconds >>> 10 seconds.
- Level 2 Death Timer: 6 seconds >>> 10 seconds.
- Level 3 Death Timer: 8 seconds >>> 12 seconds.
- Level 4 Death Timer: 8 seconds >>> 12 seconds.
- Level 5 Death Timer: 10 seconds >>> 14 seconds.
- Level 6 Death Timer: 12 seconds >>> 16 seconds.
- Level 7 Death Timer: 18 seconds >>> 20 seconds.
- Level 8 Death Timer: 21 seconds >>> 25 seconds.
- Level 9 Death Timer: 26 seconds >>> 28 seconds.
- Level 10 and Above Death Timers: Unchanged.
Death Homeguards
In addition to the Death Timer changes, Homeguards are getting one too. The duration is increasing while the timer for it actually starts when you leave the Fountain now.
- Duration: 5 seconds >>> 8 seconds.
- Timer Starts: Instantly >>> When leaving Fountain.
