How are Jules Bianchi and Charles Leclerc related?

Charles Leclerc is the current Formula one driver for the Scuderia Ferrari Formula one team and was born on 16 October 1997.

Jules Bianchi on the other hand was born on 3rd August 1989 and was a French motor racing driver for the Marussia F1 Team in Formula One and the Nice, France born died on 17th July 2015.

How was Jules Bianchi Charles Leclerc’s godfather?

Bianchi was Leclerc’s elder brother’s best friend and the trio back in the day used to hang together most of the time. This is where they all got close and developed a strong bond.

There is not much info on how exactly Bianchi became Leclerc’s godfather but it is believed that it all stemmed from the bond that Charles Leclerc and Jules Bianchi shared.

How did Jules Bianchi die?

As previously mentioned Jules was a Formula One driver for the Marussia F1 team and while participating in the 2014 Japanese Grand Prix, he got himself into a huge crash and incurred some fatal injuries.

The Frenchman suffered a diffuse axonal injury and was taken to the nearby hospital for emergency surgery.

After the surgery, Jules was in Coma for a long period, and on 17th July 2015 the Frenchman ultimately succumbed to his injuries and passed away. The Frenchman’s death was the first in the sport since Ayrton Senna’s 1994 San Marino Grand Prix mishap.
