July 2024 · 3 minute read

Stephen Curry’s son Canon Curry recently made a heartwarming gesture towards the cheerleaders of the Golden State Warriors during the match against Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday. On his way, back to the locker room along with his father Canon told the cheerleaders that they did a “good job dancing”.

Canon was in the spotlight after the game for many reasons, the three-year-old returned Klay Thompson the match ball after he scored 17 points in his seasonal debut match after coming back to NBA.

The Warriors team management has been considerate when it comes to allowing their players have their families around them during games. The reason behind this is providing their players with a home-like environment.

Yet with Canon Curry winning hearts all over, it was not the first time that some player’s son has hit the headlines. A few weeks ago Draymond Green’s son Draymond Jr. was also spotted helping players by giving them practice kits, towels and face masks as well.

All eyes were on Klay Thompson during the match as he has returned to play the game after a long break of 941 days and he left his mark on the game with several eye-catching plays. Yet it was Canon Curry, Stephen Curry’s son, who managed to take of the headline away from the five-time all star with his presence at the Staples Center.

Meanwhile, the two time MVP Curry has even ended his slump in performance and scored about 28 points on 10-of-21 shooting, with four three-pointers against the Cavaliers. The last two games before had seen a slump in Curry’s performance in terms of shooting. This game however helped him to get his momentum back on track. Returning of Thompson in the game acted as a motivation for Stephen Curry who after the game gave credit to Thompson for his performance.
